Emily–Jade Caged in 2009
One of Brisbane's hottest female media stars is set to be caged next year. Emily-Jade O'Keeffe, star of radio, television and online media has been announced as the one to join Ian Skippen, Greg Martin and Greg Sullivan on Triple M's breakfast show, The Cage.
The highly anticipated announcement follows two weeks of public trialing of female announcers – 10 ladies in 10 days. Each morning a different invited female would co-host with Skip, Marto and Sully. According to AUSTEREO General Manager, Richard Barker, chemistry was the clinch factor in choosing Emily-Jade for the hotspot behind the microphone with the boys.
"It was obvious from the moment Emily-Jade walked into the studio that she had that indefinable something, a chemistry that you can hear and see. We heard it immediately." said Barker. "Importantly, Emily-Jade brings a great balance and contribution on air as well in the workplace, both of which will grow under the tutelage of Triple M Program Director Rex Morris."
"She will join three of the best in radio in Ian Skippen, Greg Martin and Greg Sullivan and we welcome her with open arms to the Triple M family."
Emily-Jade will join Skip, Marto and Sully tomorrow morning at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast for The Cage's final broadcast of the year. She will start with The Cage on January 12 next year.
A profiled radio announcer for the past 10 years in South East Queensland, Emily-Jade also presents on television for Mornings with Kerri-Anne and the Footy show, plus is Brisbane's hottest blogger for the couriermail.com.au as Emily Everywhere. Emily wants to be surrounded by love and was recently appointed a Marriage Celebrant for the Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast region.
The Cage every weekday morning from 5.30am to 9am on Triple M 104.5.

Check out my exciting new video blog series on couriermail.com.au
Emily Everywhere is an entertaining and edgy look at Brisbane life
“I’ll be reporting on all the things that really matter – you know, what we think of celebrities, how to get the date of your dreams, does chocolate really make you fat … you get the idea.
“But seriously, the title really explains itself. I’m going to be everywhere around this beautiful city. I’ll head out to malls, workplaces, pubs, clubs, events, wherever really, to talk to people.”
Each Emily Everywhere video report will be accompanied by a blog – a section on couriermail.com.au devoted to reader comments on topics I tackles or any other issues they might want to raise.
“People can have their say, vent their anger, share an opinion or just tell me that my hair looks hideous and to never wear blue eye shadow again.”
